Due to positive growth within the business, this well-established UK manufacturer based in Northampton are looking for an experienced Sales Administrator to join their team.

This a full-time role working on-site Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm and working 8am - 1pm on Fridays. The salary will be £26,000 - £28,000 per annum depending on experience.

This is a lovely role working in a small and friendly team and will suit someone looking for a varied administration role that involves lots of interaction with customers and internal colleagues.

Duties for the role will include:

  • Processing of customers' orders, providing acknowledgements, re-scheduling information and relevant information.
  • General liaison and communication with customers. Including updates on deliveries and issues affecting deliveries.
  • Hold conference calls with customers.
  • General liaison with other departments to ascertain dispatch information.
  • Create dispatch paperwork and arrange transport for goods outwards.
  • Sales invoice processing.
  • Cover switchboard and reception.
  • Process purchase orders and acknowledgements.
  • Expedite purchase deliveries.
  • Ensure all operations are within ISO/IATF requirements.
  • Ad hoc duties as required.
  • Maintain a tidy and safe workspace.
  • General administrative work.
  • Creating new parts within the manufacturing

Skills and experience required:

  • The ideal candidate will have Maths & English GCSE Grade 4+
  • 1-2 years' experience in a similar role processing customer orders
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office
  • If you have knowledge of FactoryMaster and Darwin - this is preferred and not essential
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent time management
  • Good communication skills both internally and externally
